As the texture shear makes its single cut, its saves not only time, but also the tips of your shears. Point cutting dulls the tip of the shear much faster because they are taking 1000’s of little cuts just at the tip of the shear. This dulls out the tips faster, resulting in shear tips that push hair. Because dull shears means more business for shear sharpeners, unnecessary point cutting is good or bad, depending on who you ask. By allowing your repetitive point cutting technique to be executed by one cut from the texture shear, you are alleviating the cutting shear from concentrated work done at the tip, and distributing them across the teeth of the texture shear, dramatically extending the life span of your shears.
