A multifaceted gem.

Most blending shears leave behind a blunt line where the cut was made, articulated by a row of dots where the teeth removed a column of hair. By changing the blade geometry, the Seamless Blender randomizes the point of entry, resulting in a shear that creates negative space which naturally weaves back into the preexisting texture. This blender pushes the capability of shears; blending and removing weight, all without leaving a trace. After using the shears, we discovered another pleasant quality of this shear: no drag. The highly polished and curved straight edge allows you to close the blades in and comb out without any drag or damage to the hair strand. The blunt edges also provides more control, giving you the ability to remove bulk, create natural movement, or blend extensions, even fine hair, without removing too much. Find out for yourself, the life hack that waits for you.

Blade Material: CMV

VG10 had become the #1 metal of choice to create shears with. This alloy was a blend of cobalt, molybdenum, and vanadium which resulted in a tough, chemically resistant metal, making VG10 a well rounded material to make shears with. However, just like the hair industry, trends in the shear industry evolve, as leaders push the industry’s horizons. After creating the crane handle and the rotating thumb, Mark, the owner of Sensei, had established himself as an industry leader and trailblazer of shear design. He was sought out by a factory to see if improvements could be made on the VG10. Taking advantage of the resilience of VG10, he increased the hardness, resulting in a metal capable of holding an even sharper edge. In addition, he created the custom metal in brand new facilities equipped with more advanced furnaces and machines, resulting in shears with fewer impurities compared to the traditional VG10. From the warm glow of the high-tec furnaces, the next generation of shears were delivered, and metal was given the name CMV. To give Mark the intellectual credit to Sensei’s custom made metal, the factory granted Sensei Shear Systems a 10 year exclusive to the new CMV formula.

Rolling out with an unrecognizable design with a brand new exclusive metal, the ToughBlade deserves the proper features that makes Sensei shear stand out. The shears pivot on a ball bearing suspension system, mechanically reducing friction with every cut. Scissor resistance has also been reduced by the wide polymer inlay, making every cut effortlessly glide while extending the overall life span of the shears. Sensei demonstrates their confidence in the new CMV metal by by extending their 1 year edge warranty to a 3 year edge warranty, on top of the life time warranty all Sensei shears are held by.
